YouTube Video "Beach Day"

Hello!!

Last week while it was still nice I took Holly to what she calls the beach. It's actually just a sandy shore next to The River Forth. But it has water and sand so its a beach to her!

I decided to make a vlog of the day as it was something slightly more interesting than our normal day to day life.

Check it out here!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWnPLLDoTOg

Get This Baby Out Of Me

This is a throwback post! As you all know I had my baby in the 8th of September 2016!! I just didn't have time to post this!! Enjoy!
Hello :)

These last 2 weeks (I say 2 I'm anticipating this one too) have been soo bad! I am surprised my other half is even still here and that he and Holly haven't just packed their bags along with the cats and left until baby is born ha.

I am currently 13stone 8lb. Which means I have put on exactly 2 stone from my original weight in. Yes, I know this is normal and that I'm pregnant and that it was my choice but the weight gain thing can be so dishearting when you went to a lot of work last year to lose 2 stone!!

Then there is the mood swings! Do I need to say anything else! poor Holly is getting it tight for things she can't help. The cats are getting it tight for wanting food! How dare they want me to feed them! To be fair, I recently bought gravy food instead of jelly (not that anyone will care lol) and they have been going mental for the stuff. So they are asking every 2 mins for more! Then if TC eats too much (which he always does) he throws up...

I am fed up of not being able to bend down properly, I am fed up of being kicked from the inside out and I am fed up of mu feelings being all over the place.

I have been crying and I don't know what for!! I give my OH permission to slap me next time I say 'I want a baby' I mean a full force slap to remind me what the third trimester and waiting is all about because that's what this feels like, a full body slap!!

On the bright side, though I have finished up and I am on maternity leave. But I have no idea where all the time goes in a day! I still don't seem to get anything done and I am already fed up of having no money!!

Harley cats abscess

Hello!!

Not had a pet blog for a while so here we go.

Harley came in a couple of weeks ago having been in a fight. I could
Tell as he was very tender when getting handled and hid all day.

After checking him over I found he had been bitten in the back leg. I kept and eye on it for a few days and it all seemed to heal nicely.

But last weekend I found a golf ball sized lump on his back leg where he had been bitten and I knew it was an abscess. So I got him to the vets.

He got kept in during the day to have it lanced and when I went back to get him he had about and inch sized cut in his leg to leg the infection drain out

The first day it annoyed the pooped out of him as it kept leaking down his leg and I assume tickling him. He wasn't allowed to lick it as cat saliva has a lot of bad bacteria and it can cause further infection. So I spent all night chasing him about with a pad to wipe it all up for him.

For the first few days, he was on pain meds and I was cleaning it. 3 days in I started to put manuka honey on it (you all know I love a bit of manuka honey!) and it's now fully closed up with no infection in sight. Just a bald patch lol
Luckily we caught it in time. It could have been nasty and cost a lot more than the £133 we paid!!

Fairy Potion Glitter Bath (Messy Twitch Worthy Playtime)

Hello!!

On Holly's first day of Summer Holidays, I had to take a half day off work to look after her. See out YouTube video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkP-Nz0agUM!!

One of the activities I had for her was to make fairy potions. Basically, I put her in the bath with some water, food colouring and food glitter and let her make a mess lol

Here are some photos

The first spillage of glitter

All the food colouring and food glitter

Cleaning the utensils lol

A galaxy coloured mess!!

Yup playing in it now!! That's about right!

I ended up having to run a bath for her with all that in it!! It was a well colourful bath and she was very glittery when she came out!!

Since it was food colouring and edible glitter it all washed very easily and she had a blast!! Next might be painting in the bath.

While mums at work Bob will play day2

Hello!!

As I said in my first blog of Bob will play (http://workingmumy.blogspot.co.uk/2016/07/while-mums-away-bob-will-play.html) holly had two days of train trips. This is her second.

My uncle currently lives in Gullane which is a stone throw away from North Berwick, so my mum took her through on the train and she had a great time at the beach!!

Here she is on the train with juice and snacks.

Having her bubblegum ice cream

Out on the sand with her spade and buckets.

Sand castles

Yes, my mother let her out in the water with just her pants on!!!

She found a little hermit crab! Don't worry it was released safely.

Teacup adventures

Posing!!

On the train home

It's all been too much again

She loved the beach and it had a great bit of sea for kids that we walled off so that kids like Holly could go out where it was safe.
