Do You Love Me...

The 4 most heartbreaking word your young child could possibly say to you, Do You Love Me...

Look at that photo, how could I possibly not!

Over the last month or so Holly has been asking this. I wouldn't say a lot, maybe a handful of times. The last time she asked was last night while she was in the toilet.

I have no idea why she would start asking this. The only reason I can think of is, that her baby sister it due in the next month or so, and maybe this has started to have an effect on her.

My behaviour towards Holly hasn't changed. In the beginning, when I was trying to get used to the tiredness again, yes I will admit I snapped a few times at her for the silliest of things. I then would feel extremely guilty and go back, say sorry, give her snuggles and let her sleep in my bed with me until my OH got in from work.

But recently my lovely OH has been taking the brunt of my mood swings and I have been purposely trying not to take them out on Holly.

I suppose the only thing o can really do is keep reassuring her that I still love her and always will. One thing I know I need to get my finger out with is playing with her more.

I have struggled with this recently with being pregnant and working full time. However, I do only have 2 weeks left and I'm hoping that then when we have all day together I will find it much easier to entertain her and play with her more.

Has anyone else had this problem?? Advice muchly appreciated as always :)

While Mums Away Bob Will Play

Hello!!

Since Holly doesn't really have a baby sitter as such anymore since she started nursery, so far these couple of weeks she has kind of been passed about the family doors. Last week was granny's turn (my mum) and she had a blast.

My mum had her 4 days but 2 of them
Involved train journeys.

Here is day 1!!
Holly had a £60 Build A Bear voucher and my mum wanted to take her to Edinburgh. So here are some photos from that first time!!

Here she is excited for the "big choo choo"

On the bus to ocean terminal to Build A Bear

Having lunch, with her horse...pinky pie

Finally having a nap!

Here is what she got for Build A Bear. Out of the 1000s of choices she could have she picked, an ugly horse with pink sparkly shoes, roller skates and a cat or dog leash on, so it could be pulled along behind her it what she chose!!
She also got me a Toothless from How To Train Your Dragon. :)

Holly had a blast in Edinburgh on one of her days with her Gran.

33 week update

Hello,

I have no idea where to even start with this!! Haha

My weight gain so far is at 2 stone.  Started at 11.4 and I am currently 13.4, which is nowhere near my 4 stone last time!!  I think this time round. Its mostly baby weight. I hope it will fall off easier this time!

Flushes I get all the time and they make me feel sick! I need to have a fan in the room at nights to keep cool. I have to turn the air con in the office to pretty much freezing and I flush walking up stairs!!

Mood Swings have been in full force this week as well. I have lost the plot at holly once so far over such a silly thing and I felt so guilty afterwards. Things that wouldn't normally bother me now really irritate me. To the point sometimes I want to scream at people. I don't, but I want to.

I have 3 weeks till I finish work. I don't know if I will make it. I get exhausted half way through my day, I can't get comfy in my seat any more (I have had 3 so far), my back is killing me, baby kicks my ribs all the time! Did I mention the flushing when I walk up stairs. That takes about an hour to get over!! I keep think 3 weeks only 3 weeks but I keep think I won't make it haha.

I have a new obsession... the smell of cleaning fluid. Doesn't mater what, floor cleaner (bright yellow flash is my fav), soapy liquid, hand wash, toilet freshners (those ones that clip on the side of the toilet) the list is endless. Let's just say my house has never been so clean!! I actually cleaned my floors 4 times last week and bleached and cleaned the full house from top to bottom on Saturday!

My last and probably most cringe worthy issue I have been having is with sponges. I LOVE the feeling of them. But not ur normal sponge. The ones you clean dishes with, sponge one side and green rough pad in the other. I love squeezing them dry or damp. Preferably with some soapy suds squishing out! But I will take it dry. I can sit and squish it all night!! But maybe worse than that (in fact probably worse than that) is I think I might want to bite it. Not eat it. Just bite it! When I start to think about it. I can't get the thought out my head!!  I bought a new pack on Saturday at Aldi, and I don't not have one in my bag for work...

I don't have any stretch marks yet. You can see where the old ones were, but they aren't red and nasty like last time.

I ligit sit at work and think about cleaning the house!! And squishing sponges!!

Have you had any weird pregnancy symptoms??

Grandparents Love Them Or Hate Them

Well Hello :)

Who else has parents that spoil their child rotten?
I love my parents but when it comes to Holly, I could be done for murder! An if you know me you will know, I would never get caught for said murders :) but that's another post altogether!

When we meet my mum at Asda, Holly's first question is 'wheres my prize' as she's that used to getting something every time we go out with my mum. The annoying this about it is, even if I say no, she still gets it.  So when we go out ourselves, its a screaming match because granny always gets her something -_-

When we are at my mum and dads discipline is 0! I mean 0. If I discipline her for something, instead of going to the step like she is told to do, she will run to my mum. Who will then produced to tell her 'its ok' and 'it was an accident' and get all snuggled in!
At dinner time all she will eat is super noodles. Sometimes you can coax her to eat hot dogs, but most of the time its super noodles.
There has been the odd occasion where I have tried to give her something I know she eats, as she has ate it in her own house. No she won't eat it, but that's OK, Granny will go running and make her toast or cereal or SUPER NOODLES!

I have been told that all grandparents do this and at some point if Holly or No.2 have kids, I will do this as well.
Does this happen with age? Does the annoying granny switch turn on at maybe 40 and after that you ignore your offspring and do what you like with their kids?
I know my gran was like this with me. I know I was like Holly if not worse (as my mum would have it believed) than Holly. But surly I will remember how it feels and not do this to Holly or No.2 if they ever have kids!

Some days like today, was amazing. No tantrums and everything went smoothly because she had friggin SUPER NOODLES!! But as its the summer holidays, this week is granny week and I can see it going down hill from here on in...

Does anyone else have these issues? lol
Let me know in the comments below :)

Hollys Graduation

Hello!!

Today 28.06.16 was a bit emotional! Even though Holly isn't going into primary next year, she graduated from Ante-preschool to Preschool today.

They kids all done amazingly! They done a lovely little presentation, dancing and singing and they all done really well.

Holly was very shy to begin with. We sat in the middle so she couldn't see us. I knew if she seen us that she would start crying and want to come over. So we hid a for a while. But once she got into it she done really well.

The kids all got a certificate

And everyone got a present. The ante-preschoolers got some jumbo chalk. So they could have a chalking good summer haha....I liked it!

Unfortunately because of child security we couldn't take photos during the presentation.

But here is one of her after it with her little certificate!!

She done so well and I am so proud of her. I hate to think what I will be like next year when she's actually hitting primary!!
