How To Make A Fork Bow

Well hello lovelies!!

I learnt how to do this via lots of pictures on Instagram. It's so easy and I wish I had know about his ages ago. It would have made card making a lot easier!!!

Here is step by step how to make a fork bow!!

First you will need a fork and some ribbon. As you can see, my ribbon is just slighly shorter than my fork.

Next all you do is wrap the ribbon round the fork. Make sure the back part is at the bottom and slight longer than the front part, which is the short top part.

Take the bottom long part and pull it over the front and through the middle fork.
At the back of the fork, take the part which you have just passed through the top middle and pull it over the top and through the bottom middle fork.
This is what it will look like when u pass it through the bottom.
Pull both parts to the middle
Tie in a tight knot. This is the back of the bow. So make sure before u tighten it up to fiddle so that it's all facing the right way.
The front after the knot has been tied.
Ta daaaaaaaaaaaa!! A bow fork!!!

I hope that all makes sence for you :) let me know if u trie it out :)

Speak soon lovelies!!

Christmas Trees!!

Well hello lovelies,

I thought I'd do a post on my Christmas tree today :)

My Christmas tree is a fake one. I do like the real ones and I always had a real one while staying with my mum and dad. But with 3 cats I think they would get a call from the wild with a real tree. The fake one hasn't fainted yet and it's been up for about 2 weeks. So we are doing well!!

Started like this
Progressed to this
Finished like this!!

As you can see my tree is red and gold. I have the warm white light as well. Last year we had coloured lights on it. I love coloured lights for the window or trees outside. But on the tree inside the lights just blinded out the red and gold. So I'm back to white :)

Here are my coloured lights on my window and look closely u will see mr snowman wreath on the door!!

Let me know what colours you like :)

Christmas Craft part 2

Well hello lovelies!!

I have another lovely Christmasy craft for you all today.

It's a snowman wreath!!! For your front door or where ever you would like to hand him!

All of these products came from Hobby Craft.

Here's what you will need
1 medium wicker wreath
1 small wicker wreath £1.50
Thick ribbon (for his scarf) - normally £2 each but was in offer 3 for 2
Black card
Hot glue gun £7.00
String
Battery operated lights £3.00
Any little decorations you would like to add.

You can buy all of the above from most craft stores. So if you don't have a hobby craft near you, don't worry :)

First you will want to use your string to attach the head and body wreaths together. All I done was wrap it around and tied it in a knot. I then hot glued the knot to keep it firm.

Then I wrapped my ribbon around the joins to make it look like a scarf hot glue some dots to make sure it sticks in place. This will cover the join between the two.

Next I sketched out a hat on to two sheets of black card, cut them out and glued them together. This will be sturdy enough for where I'm placing him. But if it will be hit by the winter elements, you might want to put a layer of a glue mix over. I will put my glue mix recipe at the bottom.

Hot glue your hat into position. I have mine to the side.

Next I added a little robin to his shoulder

Wrapped round some lights that are battery operated and switched him on.

These lights are also from Hobby Craft for only £3.00. You can have the coloured ones like mine or the White ones. These can stay static or flash. Which ever you prefere :)

Glue mix recipe
Half PVC glue
Half water

It's not actually my recipe, it's art attacks lol

I hope you all enjoyed my other little art project. If any of you want to make it add me on Twitter @workingmumy and #snowmanwreath so I can see your lovely creations :)

Christmas Craft Part 1

Well hello my lovelies,

Long time no speak!!!

Today I'm going to share with you all a great Christmas craft!! It's easy, cheap and the kids can help!!!
This here is my decopache Christmas tree. I have done a post on decopache before for Hollys door name. Check out the post after this :)

I got all my stuff from Hobby Craft.
The tree was £20
The decopache paper was £3.00 each. If you watch for the sales, you can normally get buy 3 for 2!!
I use a small paint brush. You can buy them from hobby craft also. They range in price depending if you get the large ones or small.
The glue was £4.00. But you can make your own with equal measures of PVA glue and water. Then I also glossed it. You don't need to I just felt the shine was better for Christmas.
You can also buy glitter glue for £4.00. But you could also make your own by just adding in some extra glitter to your home made glue mix.

All you are doing is taring up pieces of paper and gluing them on.

To decorate it more I used some Christmas card making stickers on it. Then glued on some small bits of tinsel.

What do u all think??

I let Holly help glue on the paper. It's the first arty thing I have let her help with and she loved it!!

Also if you join the Hobby Craft club you get a card that will track what you buy and send you vouchers for them and you get 20% off you next buy!!

This is no way a sponsered post!! I just love Hobby Craft!!

Let me know what you all think :)
